The Ottawa Senators brought in some more depth for the organization Friday.
The Senators announced they signed forward Chase Balisy to a one-year, two-way contract that’s worth $650,000 in the NHL and $135,000 if he plays for the club’s AHL affiliate in Belleville.
Balisy, 26, who was taken by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round in 2011, spent last season in the Florida Panthers organization. He finished with 14 goals and 35 points in 67 games with Florida’s AHL affiliate in Springfield.
He also suited up for the eight games with the Panthers.
Balisy has also spent parts of his pro career with the AHL’s St. John IceCaps and Portland Pirates.
